To Premier David Eby:
British Columbians already pay a huge portion of their income to taxes, fees and tolls – they cannot afford another health tax.
Employers were blindsided by your government’s imposition of an Employer Health Tax.
This Employer Health Tax hits not only small and large businesses, but it also hammers towns and cities throughout the province - downloading the responsibility of health care funding to the municipalities.
This is wrong.
When the NDP promised to scrap the Medical Services Premium (MSP) during the last election campaign, they did NOT say they would throw the cost onto the backs of job creators and towns.
We the undersigned call upon the BC government to repeal the Employer Health Tax.
