To Premier Tim Houston and Finance Minister Allan MacMaster: 

Paying interest on our debt is now one of the biggest expenditures of government.

Hundreds of millions of dollars that could be spent on our schools, hospitals, roads or lower taxes is instead going to pay interest costs on money that we’ve already spent.

We, the undersigned, demand the government of Nova Scotia move immediately to balance the budget and stop spending money we don’t have.
