To the Prime Minister and the Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations,

Every federal and provincial government has an independent auditor general to hold politicians accountable.

But there is no auditor general to ensure there’s accountability in First Nations communities.

The Assembly of First Nations and Government of Canada commissioned a report about establishing an auditor general for First Nations communities, but it hasn’t been done yet.

We, the undersigned, call for the establishment of an auditor general for First Nations communities.
