Canadian Taxpayers Federation calls for lower gas taxes

Author: 1969/12/31

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) is calling on the federal government to remove the federal excise tax on gasoline in order to give Canadians relief at the pumps as part of the CTF’s 20th annual Gas Tax Honesty Day, with press conferences held across the country from Vancouver to Montreal. "Gas prices across most of the country are going through the roof,” said CTF Federal Director Aaron Wudrick. “Canadians need relief, and eliminating the federal excise tax is an immediate way to help ease that burden.”
