Sacked! Taxpayer Funded Ads In Partisan Papers That Is...

Remember how the CTF raised the issue with both parties and the Speaker's office over taxpayers funded ads in the Commonwealth, official party newspaper of the NDP? (See this blog post)

Well, I'm pleased to note that the issue has since been resolved. After writing to MLA Kevin Yates, he agreed with the CTF, put forward a motion at an internal Legislative Committee meeting and the ads are no longer allowable.
