Peguis First Nation Execs Busted by Taxpayer.com

Author: Derek Fildebrandt 2009/12/22

Peguis First Nation Executives were busted by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) this week as Prairie Director Colin Craig provided documents to the CBC showing that the chief in question makes more than the premier of Manitoba and some of his fellow Executives make more than the prime minister of Canada.

This for a poverty stricken reservation with the population of a small town.  The taxpayers of Canada, Manitoba and the Peguis First Nation deserve better than this.  Perhaps it’s time for the disclosure of chief and executive first nations pay across the country to be as easily accessible as it is for our federal and provincial politicians.
