OTTAWA, ON: The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) has released new French-language radio ads that will start airing today in Quebec in opposition to the billion-dollar bailout of Bombardier.
“Bombardier has taken $3.8 billion in taxpayer dollars since 1966. Enough is enough,” said CTF Federal Director Aaron Wudrick. “Taxpayers should not be asked to perpetually rescue failing private businesses.”
CTF recently awarded Bombardier it’s 2016 Lifetime Achievement Teddy, although this has regrettably not stopped them from continuing to beg the federal government for additional taxpayer handouts.
“Quebec taxpayers have already been soaked for $1.3 billion thanks to the Quebec government, and it’s outrageous to ask them to pay twice through Ottawa,” said CTF Quebec Director Carl Vallée. “These types of wasteful government interventions do nothing but perpetuate corporate dependency on taxpayers’ hard earned dollars”
The 30-second radio ad, which will beginning running today in the Quebec City area, is also available on YouTube by clicking here. The CTF continues to fundraise to expand the ad campaign.
