I had a chuckle when I saw this one.
The Squamish Chief reports on a beautiful new video produced by BC Transit, highlighting two rock climbers coming down the Stawamus Chief and boarding a BC Transit bus.
One problem: BC Transit doesn’t go anywhere near the Stawamus Chief.
When this was pointed out to the powers-that-be at BC Transit, an old TransLink spin doctor was rolled out to answer (while TransLink and BC Transit are separate agencies, apparently BC Transit felt TransLink’s communications shop was so well-run it picked up one of their former staffers. Yikes.).
“Picky, picky,” said Drew Snider.
Actually, it’s called “false advertising,” Drew.
Needless to say, I’ve just dropped a Freedom of Information request in the mail to see how much this silliness cost taxpayers. Will keep you posted.
