Bob Mackin keeps chewing through last year’s TOIFA awards, acting as an investigative mythbuster, shattering government spin over the value of the $9.5 million Bollywood awards show.

Today, he recaps what is still being hidden about the TOIFA awards, including:

  • Why no Canadian title sponsor?
  • Why did government trust the promoter’s wild claim that 6,000 B.C. jobs would be created by these awards?
  • How much were various suppliers paid?
  • Why is the government censoring the names of 31 of 45 suppliers?
  • How many people really saw this show? The Premier’s 400 million viewer estimate seems to have been debunked.
  • What about the spin-off movie, Kaneda, that was supposed to be shot in B.C. as part of the deal? It still hasn’t happened…
