A while back, our Prairie director, Colin Craig, posted an FOI’d list of all vanity licence plate requests rejected by Manitoba’s public auto insurer. I had a chuckle at some of them, so I filed a similar request for ICBC’s rejected plates.
Among the ones that didn’t make the cut: ITALIA, CANADA, MI6, JUICED (Jose Canseco living in B.C.?), BEER ME, GR8 ALE, DRINK, TKEYLA, OMG-LOL (Darned kids and their texting), DOG, ZEN, BUDHA, 4 JESUS (Amen), GOGLES, RUN26 2, KES 017 (Sorry, Ryan), HOT 24-7 (why, thank you), CURSED, OVRKLL, YANKEE (This is Red Sox country, apparently), STOLEN, GUN-NUT, LMAO, LAR DAS, ICBC, RCMP (Officer, how can you ticket me? I’m RCMP), HAMSTER, and many, many more.
Is Canada Off Track?
Canada has problems. You see them at gas station. You see them at the grocery store. You see them on your taxes.
Is anyone listening to you to find out where you think Canada’s off track and what you think we could do to make things better?
