SK: Send Taxi Study to the Curb
Like most cities in Canada, Regina’s municipal government already has its fair share of challenges. Yet a new report prepared for council wants the city to take on even more duties, such as regulating the appearance of taxi drivers and the age of their cabs. Talk about ludicrous. Council should do the right thing and send the report to the curb. Read more »

Did you know the Saskatchewan government spent $28,750 on celebrations for Quebec City's birthday and over $2,200 on hot sauce? The two bills were recently discovered by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) and are just a couple examples of how promotional and sponsorship expenditures have gotten out of control. Sask MLAs Trump MPs on Transparency
Recently, most of our federal politicians have been kicking and screaming like little children at the prospect of letting the Auditor General investigate Parliament’s $533 million in annual spending. Thankfully, provincial politicians in Saskatchewan had the opposite reaction when the Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) called for improved transparency for their expenses. Read more »

Saskatchewan motorists will be pleased to know that all of the tax dollars collected at gas pumps across the province this year will be put back into road construction and repair. However, the fight against tax gouging at the pumps and the push for gas tax accountability continues. Read more »

The Wall government recently disclosed that they have asked every department to cut their budgets by 10 per cent in order to balance the budget this year. That’s a good start to reaching an important target, but implementing something called “managed competition” could help them achieve the same goal. Read more »
