To the Provincial Minister of Finance:

On election night, Premier Wall stated "people voted for a Saskatchewan that will be 1.1 million people by 2015 and that will be debt free"

Thankfully, with government coffers swimming in resource revenues, 2015 for debt repayment is a definite possibility; that is, if it's made a government priority.

Paying off the debt is important as it will allow the government to save over $400 million annually in interest charge; savings that could be used to reduce taxes. Paying off the debt will also free future generations from having to pay for government services enjoyed by previous generations.

We the undersigned, urge the provincial government to establish a plan to pay off the province’s debt by 2015.
