Eliminate school taxes

Download PDF version

To the Provincial Minister of Education:

The school tax burden on Manitoba families is unsustainable, inconsistent and profit-insensitive.

Over the past ten years, enrolment has declined yet costs have skyrocketed – well above the rate of inflation.  This has led to Manitobans paying some of the highest school taxes in the country. This cannot continue.  School funding is a provincial government responsibility and should be paid for entirely by the provincial government.

We the undersigned urge the provincial government to immediately begin phasing-out school taxes.
