Single tax rate of 10%

Description:

Enterprise Saskatchewan has called upon the provincial government to implement a 10 per cent tax on all personal and corporate income. This would be vastly better than the province’s current income tax brackets of 11, 13, and 15 per cent, and also represents a two per cent drop for businesses. These changes would attract more people to our province and leave existing residents with more disposable income for education, savings, and business ventures.

Saskatchewan has higher personal and business income taxes than British Columbia. Alberta implemented a 10 per cent tax on personal income in 2001 and on business in 2006.

The 10 per cent single-rate tax was recommended in our pre-budget submission to the province. Thus far the finance ministry has been resistant to the idea. Click here, or on the "Contact Lawmakers" button below, to tell the province you want this to happen.
