CPP and our personal story (in brief)

We, my husband and I but he specifically has worked all of his adult life to find out that; regardless of his separation agreement with his ex-wife and her voluntary withdrawal of her 1/2 of his pension benefits, that; the gov't. took it away anyway ignoring the very agreement they both signed; then she passed away and they still refuse to give him his pension as he has been entitled to it saying; it has already been severed.....what kind of gov't. is this. His ex-wife took half his pension from 1998 until present and know he is forced to live below the poverty line without the benefit of his pension he worked all of his life to receive. Can anybody help us or does anyone have knowledge of this kind of issue with the fed's. Pls. and thank you, Garry Lepine of Thetis Island, B.C. email to Phoebe_cm@hotmail.com 250-436-2001

CPP & EI Increases

How come my pay doesn't increase also.......
They seem to increase manditory payments such as EI and CPP and we have no say, but to collect them is another story....The system, especially EI, can take up to 8 weeks for the poor sole who got laid off unexpectedly to collect a penny. By the time that he/she gets any money, all of their savings are gone. To collect CPP disability can take forever. A person is "raped" for information and are usually denied for the first attempt.....Why Why Why is this

CPP and EI

Although I agree with the tremendous waste in government. Increases for these two programs are a benefit which should be cheered when you consider the benefits that can be had.
Aftet the article and examining MP pensions and costs this should be the main drive for all Canadians. I appreciate the challenges politicians face but this is NOT RIGHT.
Doing the right thing as all politicians believe they do then all should campaign to reduce the ridiculous Pension.
ps when did politics become a profession
