Newly elected chief looks to reduce salary

Crediting the Canadian Taxpayers Federation for releasing data on the salary of the chief of her band, Janette Peterson decided to run for position of chief. She said until the CTF released the data, members had no idea the former chief earned $160,000 tax free each year. Janette won the election on a pledge to let the 100 member band determine her salary. Atlantic Director Kevin Lacey comments.

government salaries or unions

No government official or Union or Chief should be paid more then the same amount of earnings an average citizen would get doing same job or similar job and no Federal worker should receive more income then any tax payer in the country. or should they ever receive anymore pension income then any other tax payer in the country. They work for us not us for them they should not be earning more then there employers. There is not a business in the world that has or can keep going if it is run this way why should anybody believe a band or country should be able to keep going either. In fact all through out history every country or Nation that has ended up with the practice of elected officials or government employees having earnings higher then the tax pay-or didn't end badly or end from with in with total destruction of the entire Nation/ examples Rome , Russia , France , Italy , Soon there will also be added to the list U.S.A. and Canada..
