"It shouldn't be just long guns." -- Hand guns have been licensed and controlled in Canada since 1934. Would someone please explain the effectiveness and justification of the costs of a firearms registry and licensing to me in regards to reducing let alone stopping criminals from using firearms. Canadians need to be spending these hundreds of millions of dollars on societal essentials such as health care, education, infrastructure and debt reduction.
