MP, MPP, and MLA pay.

Is there a juridiction anywhere in Canada, where our politicians have taken a voluntary cut in compensation? Ever? During the current financial crunch? I would feel a lot less angry, if they were to tough it out with the rest of us, and had to work hard to make their budgets. I don't know of a politician anywhere who has much of a clue about how much time the poor and other low-income people spend just trying to make ends meet.

They are so isolated from rolling up sleeves and living like so many of us are forced to do.

I also become annoyed when another tax break is given to people who have enough money to save some for their future. I don't. I'm barely keeping up with the rent. I have no money left to save. But my tax dollars are not being pushed my way, and are instead too often given to folks who are doing relatively well.

Enough rant for now.
