- Veiller sur les politiciens;

Canada's Federal Debt
Your Share
The federal government is adding $88 million a day to our debt. At this rate, the $105-billion in debt repayment between 1997 – 2008 will be wiped out this year. Support our campaign for a federal balanced budget law and help us STOP this clock.

Smart Technolgy eyes Quebec schools for 40,000 white boards
Smart Technology has recently OUT sourced its manufacturing to MEXICO and layed
of Canadian workers and TAX payers. Now they what to sell their products to
all Quebec schools. These products will be paid for with Canadian tax dollars.
Why does a Company that does not feel Canada is good enough to make their product in is good enough to sell their product in ??
If these products are bought with OUR TAX dollars We should make the product.

How can I help?
It's true everyone should try and learn both English and French languages; however, after living in Quebec for almost 20 years, my French isn't that great. The point I want to make is that if one wants to spread information and get a good response from the largest possible number of individuals, it is important to post one's comments in both languages. There are many people who just don't have a gift for languages, and try as they may, they never master a second language (and some barely master their native language :) Many people only understand only the language they learnt when young (and that goes both ways). The problem is communication. I have no idea what this initial post is about (hour of what?). How can I help if I don't know what you're talking about?
I would understand the issue discussed here much more clearly if it was written in English. I'm still trying to learn French (I actually love the language, but I was born in England and lived most of my life in small English towns, so I have had very little assimilation to the language). I absolutely adore the culture; that's what brought me to Quebec. Try as I may, I have a hard time understanding French.
Quebec's Page
Why on earth is the page for Quebeck only in French? Don't you know there are 2.5 MILLION English speaking people living in the Greater Montreal Area - in spite of the Federal and Provincial governments attemps to cleanse us out of the Province?
Good grief - I'm really upset - because I assumed an organization asking for accountability on behalf of ALL CANADIANS - would at the very least have the sensitivity to post a bilingual page - given all our rights and freedoms have been stripped from us.
I joined this page to sign the puck off petition and am so distressed over your seeming blindness to what is happening to your fellow English speaking Canadians - that I'm restraining myself from using the puck off expression elsewhere,

answer for didi
well, didi t's true we are supose to speak english and french EVERYBODY IN CANADA. You know Québec is french. I'm sorry f tou are upset by that and we nead to give the service in english too it's true, but we speak french, what you want !!. You know in other province the little frenc region are in assimilation but us w don't want that. It's for that reason we make some laws to protect your french country
Alexandre Beauchemin
Sorry dude
It's just the same old crap. Speak English and french in ROC, but French only in Quebec. NO! Put up a bilingual site acroos the country or go to hell. Seriously, as a life long ENGLISH resident of Quebec, I have as much right as a french resident. French speeking people didn't invent the damn province, you only live here. So do I. So if the CTF thinks this is OK, then fuck the CTF.
french/english
Complaining about French only on a Quebec page simply indicates someone has not had the decency to respect Quebec and learn their preferred language. I thought those days were over by now. I have lived in Quebec for some 30 years and when I arrived here, the first thing I did was learn French, out of respect. And when I lived in Holland, I learned Dutch and in my years in Germany, I learned German. See the hint?
Yes, Canada has 2 official languages, but I seem to notice that only in Quebec is that the case. The rest of Canada seems not to be interested in learning the second one, so if you are in Quebec, at least have the decency to learn it and do yourself a favor. It will serve make you a much smarter person, really. It seems to me that anyone who speaks only one language is simply choosing to remain ignorant of what surrounds them, whether that sole language they speak is french or english.
Excessive Taxes that we pay hurt us in any language, and that is the issue here, ultimately.
And this is why we will loose our Freedoms .... sigh
See how we all argue at each other. Meanwhile the true powers that be rape us of our wealth, freedoms and liberty. Stop the bickering, stop fighting amongst each other otherwise we can never turn the tide to our favour. English and French speaking people... we're all getting screwed here. Work together... and we may have a chance!
This from an English person in Montreal too.
