Post MLA expenses online

Elected officials across Canada, in Parliament, provincial legislatures, and city and municipal councils, have chosen to be accountable for the public money they spend, providing regular reports on the amounts expenses they claim. In some places, taxpayers can simply go to the city web site, and look at the original expense claims and receipts for themselves. But in British Columbia, our MLA’s have steadfastly refused to be accountable.

We demand that British Columbia’s MLA’s end their foot-dragging, and come clean with voters. Full and timely disclosure of MLA expense claims is long overdue.

We the undersigned demand that MLA expenses be posted online where they can be easily accessed by voters.
