Pay cut for Victoria politicians?!

Due to a 1 per cent contraction in the cost of living, mayors and councilors in the greater Victoria, BC area are having a pay decrease. Maureen Bader, British Columbia Director of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, notes this has no effect on the high pay for unionized municipal workers and that's where the most significant expense lies.
