He has been integral in developing one of the first moveable wall systems, pioneering on-line government services, establishing the first western company in the Republic of Georgia after the civil war, developing smart grid technology, and most recently, making a shale gas discovery in Quebec.
As an innovator, Michael has struggled against the headwinds of government intervention in Canada and around the world. As Chairman of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation Michael feels part of an organization that does more to advance prosperity and wellbeing for Canadians than anything else he does.
Michael founded the Lesley Binnion Foundation for Disabled Sports that supports hundreds of disabled children and their families every year.
Michael has a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Finance from the University of Alberta and is also a Chartered Accountant. He is active with his family in water sports and skiing.
