Karen Selick was born in Ontario and has spent most of her life there. Karen Selick is a lawyer with more than two decades in private practice handling matrimonial law, wills, estates and small business legal issues. Karen is currently the Litigation Director for the Canadian Constitution Foundation where she oversees court challenges aimed at reducing state power and winning greater individual freedom for Canadians. 

Karen has moonlighted as a magazine and newspaper columnist for many years.  Her writing has appeared in The Globe and Mail, The National Post, Canadian Lawyer and elsewhere.   Her collected columns appear at www.karenselick.com.

Karen spends her spare time learning Spanish.  She is a fitness enthusiast and member of the Life Extension Foundation.
