To New Brunswick Premier David Alward and Finance Minister Blaine Higgs:

New Brunswick is running a huge $750 million deficit.  Why?  The government has increased spending by $1.9 billion over the last five years. Total government program spending over that time is up 6.1% each year, which means it has increased three times the rate of inflation and six times the rate of GDP growth.

Now some groups in New Brunswick are demanding the government raise taxes.

We the undersigned believe that the government should keep its commitment not to raise taxes.
