Outgoing Alberta MLAs to pocket $8 million

Former premier Ralph Klein took more than $650,000 when he walked out the door, and millions more were given to other Alberta MLAs after they lost the 2008 election. The Canadian Taxpayers Federation estimates the total payouts to be $8 million. Their campaign to have MLA pay set by citizens themselves is .
