No Tax Hikes

To Premier Redford:

In August 2011 you committed to the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, in writing, that if elected, your government would balance the budget by 2013 without raising taxes.

Now your finance minister and president and treasury board are saying that tax hikes are on the table.

Your government has a spending problem, not a revenue problem and Albertans shouldn’t have to pay higher taxes.  Furthermore, Albertans are proud not have to pay a PST or “heath care premium” tax.

We the undersigned demand you keep your word that you will not raise taxes.
